Abstract: 

This seminar aims to provide an accessible introduction to the use of gravity models for analysing international tourism flows, connecting their theoretical foundations with modern empirical practice. It discusses key data and estimation challenges, recent econometric developments, and good practices for obtaining credible gravity estimates in tourism research.
